It’s been a long time coming, but they’re finally here and the shop will be open tomorrow! Take a peek if you’d like! Jen Cooke Handbags.

A special thanks to beautiful Nik for modelling the bags and to Namaste in Sherwood Park for doing her wonderful make-up!

Kingston | 24 days new

Usually newborn sessions take place when baby is between 4-7 days old, however Kingston was 24 days old for his session! I think he’s the oldest newborn I’ve ever photographed. He was awake for most of the session (which I expected), but at the end he surprised me and fell asleep just long enough for me to get a sweet sleeping photo. Way to go buddy!! Here are a few of my favourites…

Water Changes Everything | Thank You

Back in September I hosted my annual online auction for photographers to raise funds for Charity: Water – an organization bringing clean safe water to people in developing countries. I love Charity: Water and everything they’re doing to impact our world in a better way.

This year we raised $4678.00 with every penny going towards building clean water solutions for people in Rwanda. Every penny. Charity: Water doesn’t take admin costs from the money we raise which is one of the reasons I love this organization so much. To read more about how they do this you can read here. In about 18 months we will be able to see with GPS coordinates and photo’s of how the money we raised has impacted a community. I can’t wait to see.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who donated items for the auction, all the photographers who came and bid on items, and everyone who helped spread the word. Together we’ve made a difference for a community in need and I can’t wait to see what we can raise next year!!

Here is a little video of Charity: Water’s year in review.
